Zill Fae & Dancing Nymph

Meet Faeinis (FAY-in-iss) - a zill fae and fusion dance nymph with a passion for finger cymbals, high fantasy aesthetics, and theatrical dance.

Currently frolicking between Cleveland, OH and Pittsburgh, PA, I am a member of RAD Raks Dance Company, a Dance Cohesion Stage 3 Trained Teacher and an AFAA-Certified Group Fitness Instructor.

I took my first fusion belly dance class in 2012 and fully committed to the art in 2023. My first 3 years of dance were tap, jazz, and ballet from ages 8-11. As a teenager I spent time learning waving and popping from DVDs and Youtube tutorials. K-pop dance heavily influenced me starting in 2010. I currently train in fusion and traditional styles of belly dance, as well as taking classes in Lyra, Heels, and Burlesque.

Dance Background

My first teacher was Jennifer Neal and I had the opportunity to dance with the Tribe of Eos at a few events. There were many years of off and on self-study with resources like DaturaOnline, until I successfully attempted their 365 challenge of practicing every day for one year in 2022. It was at the end of that year that I fell in love with finger cymbals after completing some of their offerings from April Rose, Heather Louise, and Zoe Jakes. In December of 2022 I discovered Sahira, one of my ultimate finger cymbal inspirations, and joined her online in her BellyDance Journey membership. In 2025, I earned first place in Datura Online’s annual Choreography Challenge #13 for “Jehan” a drum solo with finger cymbals.

I am currently a member of RAD Raks Dance Company under the direction of Berna, I take classes regularly with Aminah Louise & Sahira, and I regularly participate in performance opportunities with Joanna Abel. My theatrical performance experience includes Jillina’s BDEx: Alice in Wonderland in Pittsburgh (2025), Joanna Abel’s Enchanted Creature Ball (2024, 2025, 2026) and 1001 Nights - A Bellydance Story Showcase (2026). Alice in Wonderland was my first real taste of theatrical bellydance and I fell in love immediately. In 2025 I debuted my “The Red Fox” solo, combining my love of fantasy, theater, and finger cymbals. At the 2026 Mid-Michigan Enchanted Forest Bellydance Competition “The Red Fox” earned 2nd place in the Professional Division (Soloist) and 1st place for Costuming.

Education Background

I have had a life-long relationship with teaching. I’m a Dance Cohesion Stage 3 Trained Teacher, AFAA-Certified Group Fitness Instructor, and an Instructor at Cleveland Eclectic Dance and online. Education has been the focus of most of my school life. During my undergraduate I was admitted to the Education Honor Society Kappa Delta Pi, earned my Master’s in TESL in 2017, and have over 10 years of experience as a classroom teacher and private tutor to students of all ages. My education background and experience informs who I am as a dance instructor. The clear and detailed explanation of an experienced teacher, together with playful and supportive energy, is the learning experience I provide . Any individual with a kind heart, open mind, and good intentions is welcome to join me in falling in love with this dance through creative exploration and cultural investigation.
